THE country’s construction industry is seen as one of the country’s major economic drivers amid the lingering effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The industry is forecasting to generate as much as P130 trillion from 2020 to 2030 given a well-plotted construction roadmap.
In an online Philippine Business Forum hosted by the Department of Trade and Industry —Export Marketing Bureau and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Dubai, DCCD engineering chairman and chief executive officer engineer Michael Reyes said the construction industry has a promising growth forecast due to the expansion of investments and participation in the global market.
As of 2018, Reyes said, the construction sector was valued at P2.3 trillion only. But he said this can be boosted with the construction roadmap.
